Jonathan Roumie: Season 7 of The Chosen Feels Completely Different

Jonathan Roumie says filming Season 7 of The Chosen feels dramatically different after the emotional weight of Season 6, which centers on Jesus' crucifixion. In this interview with Crosswalk Talk’s Michael Foust at the K-LOVE Fan Awards, Roumie discusses the new atmosphere on set, the one thing he hopes every viewer remembers, why he believes The Chosen has connected with millions beyond the church, and his prayer that the series will continue bringing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world. Season 6 focuses on the crucifixion, while Season 7 shifts to the resurrection, which Roumie says has brought a renewed sense of joy to the cast and crew.

The High Cost of Following Jesus Around the World: Todd Nettleton on Christian Persecution

Voice of the Martyrs Vice President Todd Nettleton discusses the growing reality of Christian persecution around the world and why so many believers continue to stand firm in their faith despite tremendous opposition. He shares with Crosswalk Talk’s Michael Foust the inspiring story of Perpetua, a young Christian martyr whose courage still challenges believers nearly 2,000 years later. Nettleton also explains what's really happening to Christians in countries such as China, Nigeria and Tunisia, where many face pressure from governments, communities and even their own families. Finally, he reflects on how the faith of persecuted Christians has strengthened his own walk with Christ and why their witness continues to inspire the global church.

Man's Unconventional Proposal Causes Quite a Stir

One man’s unconventional marriage proposal caused quite a stir. Many people have thoughts and opinions on how a guy popped the question and felt it necessary to voice them. Watch the short but hysterical clip to see how one young man asked his girlfriend to marry him.

Social media, despite being around for several decades in some form, remains incredibly popular. Platforms like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok have hundreds of millions of daily active visitors and users. Seemingly, people cannot go five or 10 minutes without checking their Facebook or Instagram feed. Something may have changed since the last time they checked it. You never know!

Since the rise and continued popularity of social media, people have, for whatever reason, felt emboldened to comment on any and every topic and post their unsolicited thoughts and opinions online. That is especially true when the topic at hand has nothing to do with the commenter. Nevertheless, everyone will make it clear what they think about this or that, whether you want to know or not.

In a clip posted on YouTube, many people had strong thoughts and feelings about how one guy popped the question. Sure, how he asked his girlfriend, now-fiancée, to marry him did not and does not impact the lives of anyone but the happy couple, but that fact did not stop the commenters.

As the video mentions, the couple had just vacationed in beautiful Italy, taking in all the wondrous, breathtaking sights, sounds and food. But instead of asking her during their time in the European country, he waited until after their flight home, when they walked into their apartment. That’s when he got down on one knee and pulled out the ring.

People had things to say, of course. But, as they both mention in the video, the proposal was perfect and special to them, and that’s all that matters.

Genesis 2:24 “For this cause will a man go away from his father and his mother and be joined to his wife; and they will be one flesh.”

What do you do when enemies—whether it's the sting of deception, the loud voice of an inner critic, or a relentless spiritual attack—threaten to block your connection with God?

Join Jaime on the Praying Christian Women Podcast for a powerful, grace-filled devotional on Psalm 5, a psalm that offers profound hope and protection when you feel surrounded by adversaries and overwhelmed by the noise of the world.

In this episode, Jaime dives into the beautiful, musical context of this passage, written by David—a multifaceted king, sinner, and musician. Despite his many failures, David miraculously approached God with bold expectation, relying entirely on His abundant lovingkindness rather than his own merit. Jaime explores how music can completely shift our posture of worship, and how we, too, can step boldly into God's presence unhindered by our imperfections.

Even today, as we battle the invisible enemies of anxiety, spiritual blocks, and our own shortcomings, God remains our ultimate defender. You'll discover the deep comfort behind David's intense "imprecatory" prayers for justice, revealing how God actively surrounds and shields us with His favor—much like a fierce, protective bird spreading its wings over its vulnerable young.

Come ready to lay down your daily baggage, quiet your inner critic, and step into unmerited fellowship with the Creator of the universe. Let this psalm remind you that the God of Angel Armies has already won the ultimate victory, and because He is fiercely shielding you, you can confidently wait in expectant hope.

What Truly Defiles a Man? Unpacking Nicodemus’s Mistake in The Chosen

In Season 1 of The Chosen, the Pharisee Nicodemus makes a highly intriguing theological statement: "What goes into the body of a man defiles him." But how does this line up with the true words of Jesus Christ in the Gospels? In this biblical commentary and video breakdown, we dive deep into the scriptural context behind this scene. By looking closely at Mark 7:18, we uncover the blind spot that Nicodemus and the religious leaders of his day suffered from. While the Pharisees focused strictly on external legalism, rituals, and dietary rules, Jesus turned their entire theological world upside down by revealing that true defilement comes entirely from within a person's heart. If you love watching The Chosen and you want an educational, faith-focused look into your favorite faith-based series, make sure to subscribe to the channel for weekly videos and biblical studies!
